 Willows Ingredients have signed a supply partnership agreement for Ireland and the United Kingdom, with HuveNutra® for HuvePure® DHA – lipid biomass, a vegetarian source of DHA, derived from microalgae that are a viable alternative to fish oil, feed material used in feed for pets, livestock species, and aquaculture.

A climate for crickets – Irish company paves the way for new protein source.

An Irish family-owned company has signed a distribution agreement with a Vietnamese manufacturing company, Cricket One, to provide cricket protein to the UK and European markets.

Wicklow-based Willows Ingredients has been a supplier of health ingredients to the human and animal-nutrition sectors across the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, and North America for over 15 years.

GOS is a prebiotic made from the fermentation of lactose. It selectively enhances the beneficial microbiota in the gut especially Bifidobacteria and mimics human milk oligosaccharides (HMO’s). GOS improves immunity, nutrient absorption, lipid transport and overall digestive and bowel health in infants. Willows as one of only a few suppliers able to offer high GOS concentration in both its powder and liquid forms leading to a superior prebiotic effect. Inulin is derived from the chicory root, as well as being a dietary fibre and prebiotic inulin can be used as a fat and sugar replacement. Willows will soon be able to offer a range in particle sizes and inulin concentrations.
